The Challenge

Prior to onboarding Profitroom, Santa Claus Holiday Village faced some challenges with their online presence. The website lacked vibrancy, making it harder to highlight the hotel's unique selling points, leading to fewer direct online bookings and more reservations via OTAs or offline. Additionally, the Booking Engine was not user-friendly, lacking the capability to showcase available offers. These factors limited the property's ability to fully engage with potential guests and capitalise on direct booking opportunities.

Impressed by Profitroom's track record of delivering high-quality websites, Santa Claus Holiday Village embarked on a partnership to revamp their online presence. Alongside their website overhaul, we implemented our intuitive Booking Engine 360, tailored to meet the property's specific needs and allowing guests to easily find an available room or the first possible date through Availability Assistance.

This effectively reduces offline inquiries and streamlines the reservation process as well as allows the property to highlight their unique selling points and limited promotions. This collaborative effort aimed to address the challenges faced by the property, leveraging Profitroom's expertise to optimise guest satisfaction and revenue generation.

Partnering with Profitroom since 2021, with a vision to enhance direct sales and elevate guest experience, Santa Claus Holiday Village have been relying on our expertise. Having witnessed the success of Profitroom's solutions in neighbouring Lapland properties, the General Manager was eager to explore the possibilities for their own establishment.

To support the property and its team, Profitroom maintained consistent communication with Santa Claus Holiday Village. This enabled their dedicated Customer Success Manager to thoroughly analyse sales trends and together with the hotel General Manager effectively implement strategic initiatives, resulting in a substantial increase in direct online sales - and making Santa free to do what he's the best at: making children happy!

It's all about results

Since partnering with Profitroom, Santa Claus Holiday Village has seen a 15% increase in direct online bookings compared to the previous winter season, with 45% of online bookings originating from their website.

The property has experienced significant year-on-year growth, with a 39% increase in bookings and a 64% increase in direct online revenue from 2022 to 2023. 

The last winter season, offline and Booking Engine bookings comprised 60% of total bookings, while OTAs accounted for 40%. The emphasis on enhancing the booking flow and visibility on their website has yielded promising results, with direct bookings making up 38% of total bookings.
