This month, we were delighted to attend the North East England Tourism Awards.

Some fantastic companies in the UK tourism industry were nominated, and it was great to learn about each of their offerings and celebrate their successes.

UK Tourism Industry: The North East England Awards 2022

The North East England Awards recognise and celebrate the successes of hotels and accommodation in the North East of England. The event took place on the 24th of March 2022, in partnership with the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

The awards provide a benchmark for businesses to aspire to in their services to the UK tourism industry. They also celebrate those who achieve - and surpass - the expectations of holidaymakers. 

Eligible winners will feed into the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, and be promoted on a national stage. 

UK Tourism Industry: How Were We Involved?

Here at Profitroom, we provide the hospitality and tourism industry with innovative technology. The North East England Tourism Awards were a great opportunity for us to support the UK tourism industry and our existing clients, whilst networking with other businesses. 

To show our support, we sponsored the ‘Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year’ category. Our very own Natalie Murison and Patryk Luszcz attended the event together, and Natalie presented the award to the deserving winners, Beacon Hill Hideaways. 

It was great to be able to sponsor the awards and see so many hospitality representatives come together to celebrate their successes. 

The hospitality industry has faced some difficulties over the past few years. Brexit and COVID-19 put a huge strain on the UK tourism industry; so, it was wonderful to not only see them pick up awards, but also share their plans for the future. 

The industry as a whole is now looking to recover and move forward following the lifting of restrictions. We're looking forward to continuing to support businesses with our innovative technology.
