Profitroom was founded on first-hand experience.

The initial seeds of the idea that would become Profitroom was conceived by Marcin Dragan, our Chairman, who, when travelling around seaside leisure resorts on his summer holidays 12 years ago, recognised a tech need that was lacking in hotels.

Not having pre-booked his hotel stays, he was struggling to book online at the last minute, and realised that many hotels simply didn’t have the technology to manage online reservations.

This left most guests with the option to book over the phone or over email or even just by walking through hotel doors and making a reservation at the front desk.

Recognising how central to hotels internet-based booking would become, Marcin was determined to provide an offering that would meet this need in the hospitality market. This saw him launch Profitroom alongside co founders Waldemar Antonowicz, Krzysztof Kowalczykiewicz and Krzysztof Grzęda – and latterly; Bartosz Sułecki who make up the board team that has helped propel the organisation to the international business it is today with 180 employees across Europe.

From the outset, the team at Profitroom has been driven by one thing; helping hoteliers to increase profits through a seamless booking process and effective, targeted communication. Utilising innovative conversion-led, cloud based solutions, alongside specialist marketing and consultancy services, all under-pinned by a deep-rooted love of hospitality and travel, Profitroom is now an award-winning operation, which sees its services used by more than 4,000 leisure hotels and resorts around the world.
