As Head of Corporate Affairs, Ioan is responsible for designing and delivering the airport’s external affairs strategy which includes managing relationships with stakeholders and leading on public affairs. As a member of the airport’s senior leadership team, he provides strategic advice to the Managing Director, directors and other senior leaders in the business. He represents the airport on a number of steering groups and forums including the East Midlands Development Corporation programme board, Midlands Connect’s strategic communications group and the Freeport Operational Forum.
Ioan was appointed as EMA’s Head of Media in 2017. Prior to this he worked as a freelance PR and communications specialist during which time he did work for a number of organisations including the University of Nottingham Business School. He has also held senior communications roles in the NHS, local government, for a national conservation charity and in the arts.
Jo joined Visit Peak District and Derbyshire in 2005 as an independent consultant specialising in securing external funding and writing strategy. Jo was made Managing Director in 2014, and since then has strengthened Visit Peak District & Derbyshire’s position within Derbyshire, building strong strategic partnerships and ensuring the sector is recognised as a key deliverer of economic growth, offering great jobs and careers for people living in the area. Her passion now is to help businesses flourish through this period of change and uncertainty as we work towards a more sustainable tourism offer, maintaining the high value of the sector whilst limiting the impact it has on our special places.
Dean Madge is a commercial and operational hospitality specialist and currently holds the senior management position of Regional Director for UK, Nordics and DACH at Profitroom.
Bringing a strong skill set to the table, backed by extensive industry experience, Dean’s passion for helping hoteliers maximise and grow their revenue allows him to be an advocate for a range of specialties. Most importantly commercial sales, people development, hotel openings, operations, and building strong internal and external relationships. From hotels to luxury serviced apartments, each sector has offered valuable opportunities enabling him to truly relate to the challenges that hoteliers face and provide clear insights into the industry.
At Profitroom Dean leads on the strategic and operational activities to deliver transformative, tangible results for leisure hotels and resorts in the UK, Nordics, DACH and beyond.
From a young age, Stewart operated large units for the likes of Principal Hayley, ACCOR, and IHG.
In 2019, he gained prominence for orchestrating the turnaround of an ailing hotel group’s fortunes, leading to industry accolades for innovation and commercial savvy.
Earlier in 2022, he was appointed as the Managing Director of High Level Software, the hotel-focused arm of the Zonal family, where Stewart is also an executive team member.
After travelling the world whilst working as a Scuba diving instructor and English teacher
George took his 1 st foray into hospitality when he owned and operated a Café and Deli in
Brighton.
After just a small taste of working with the sector George was hooked.
A Masters Degree and a role with benchmarking company STR gave him a great insight into
the Hotel industry.
George has experience with a wide range of Hotel Technology including 2 systems so
important in the Technology ecosystem; PMS and RMS.
George currently heads up the Sales team for Right Revenue, a Revenue Management
system aimed at independent hotels, and famous for extolling the sentiment that
#RevenueRocks!
George is passionate about ensuring all hotels big and small have access to the technology
that can help them achieve their potential.
I have worked in the finance industry for over 6 years where I have been lucky enough to gain knowledge and experience across a number of roles from Sales Agent, Underwriter, Team Leader, Affiliate Manager and Marketing Manager.
I joined PXP Financial in January 2023 as the Partnership & Alliance Manager with the goal to use my knowledge and skillset to support both our new and existing partners.
